जनस्वास्थ्य क्षेत्रमा कार्यरत रह“दाका अनुभव र यसै विषयको एक विद्यार्थीको नाताले आफूले जानेका भोगेका अनुभवको संगालोलाई पाठक समक्ष राख्दैछु । यस पुस्तकभित्र जिल्ला जनस्वास्थ्य कार्यालय मोरङमा कार्यरत रहदा लेखिएका लेखहरू बढी संग्रहित छन् । यसअघि यसै विषयमा लेखिएको 'जनस्वास्थ्य पाटा बाटा र अनुभूति' पुस्तकलाई पाठकले रुचाइदिनु भयो । पाठकको रुची र विषयको मागलाइ ध्यानमा राखेर प्रस्तुत पुस्तक 'जनस्वास्थ्यका सवालहरू' पाठक सामु ल्याएको छु ।
रोग उपचार गर्नु भन्दा रोकथाम गर्नु नै उत्तम हो । रोगबाट समुदाय बच्न आवश्यक उपायहरु अवलम्बन गर्न, स्वच्छ जीवन शैली अपनाउन तथा ब्यवहारमा सकारात्मक परिवर्तन गराउन जनस्वास्थ्य जोड दिने गर्दछ । वर्षेनी थपिदै गएका स्वास्थ्य संस्थाहरु र स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरुको संख्याले मानव जीवन केही सहज अवश्य भएको छ । तर आजकल नयां नयां रोगहरु -जस्तै एच.आई.भी.एड्स) थपिदै जानु, हराइसकेका रोगहरु (जस्तै मलेरिया, कालाज्वर, प्लेग) पुन देखा पर्नुले वास्तवमा जनस्वास्थ्यमा थप चुनौतीको सृजना गरेको छ । प्राथमिक स्वास्थ्य सेवा अत्यावश्यक स्वास्थ्य सेवा हो जसले समुदायका मुख्य स्वास्थ्य समस्याहरू जनसहभागितामूलक ढंगले ब्यवस्थापन गरिन्छ ।

The study to assess the health and health care delivery status in Eastern Development Region of Nepal was carried out by the Health Improvement Program of The Britain Nepal Medical Trust (BNMT) in close collaboration and coordination with Eastern Regional Health Directorate. This study is expected to provide insights in the current status of health; gaps in availability, accessibility and utilization of health care services; current and potential aspects that affect health and thus to guide health managers and partners to identify appropriate interventions to improve health status in the Eastern Development Region of Nepal through strengthening the capacity of local communities.
This report includes the key findings of the assessment. It is a summary for dissemination to the central level partners. At this moment, we would like to thank all members of central, regional, district and community level assessment teams for their contribution in the entire process of assessment. We would also like to thank officials from AC Nielsen Private Limited and the Eastern Regional Health Directorate for their immense and continued support and encouragement.
