Jan 12-13, 2012. Papers on researches done in different districts of Nepal have been presented in a workshop held in Janakpur. Professors from TU Institution of Medicine, BPKIHS, Clinicians and Public Health Experts from Government of Nepal presented and DHO/DPHO/ VCO were participated in the workshop. A finding indicated that Insecticide Residual Spraying (IRS) is still cost-effective in Nepal than Insecticide Treated Bed nets (LLIN).

Mental Health problem is a serious Public Health issue in Letang VDC, Morang. There are 10 suicides committed in Letang during year of 2068 reported by Letang Primary Health Care Centre. Most cases are adolescent girls with stress and having love affairs and other age groups are of alcohol and drug addicted, chronic diseases and stress. However, the trend of suicide is decreasing year by year, which was at peak level during conflict. DPHO Morang is working for mental health in Letang and other VDCs in collaboration with CMC.
