A brief note on Corona COVID 19 Pandemic

Silver circles are beginning to appear in the black clouds of the Corona epidemic around the world. Corona Covid 19 Epidemic prevention vaccine development is starting to shine a ray of hope. Leaders in the West are optimistic about the results of a recent test by US company Pfizer and German company BioNtech. Although Russia has previously claimed to have developed the vaccine, the scientific community has not been able to accept it. The scientific method and transparency of vaccine formulation and its effectiveness are the basis of credibility. There is reason to believe that Western countries are relatively transparent. The vaccine, which has claimed to be effective in 90 percent of cases, is considered suitable for human use only after re-testing by the World Health Organization. Now we can expect to be vaccinated in the new year 2021 after the end of this year.
On the other hand, there has been a significant increase in the incidence and mortality of Corona Covid 19 in Nepal. We are reaching a high point every day. I guess the reason for this is the recklessness, excitement, meetings, and careless behavior of most of us on the occasion of the great festival Dashain a few weeks ago. Now we are celebrating Tihar and Chhat Parva. There were also reports of protests if the administration did not allow them to gather during the festival. Violation of Public Health measures is a suicidal move. It is also the responsibility of the common man to provide necessary assistance to the administration in controlling the pandemic.

Dr. Nawa Raj Subba is a public health specialist who has more than three and a half decades of experience working in public healthcare management at the Ministry of Health and Population in Nepal. In the spirit of public-private partnerships to expand access to health care in rural communities in Eastern Nepal, he played a vital role in leading operational research. He has also independently researched public health and intercultural psychology in Nepal. He published his works in books and journals. Nepali literature, culture, and music recognized him as an author. He has written artistic and cultural texts and CDs. His work has been acknowledged and appreciated by civil society, the government of Nepal, and abroad. He is now involved in Public Health and Intercultural Psychology studies in Nepal.
